Insecurity and Violent Extremism in the Sahel: Implications for socio-economic development

With support from the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, it organized a research-based Regional workshop on “Insecurity and Violent Extremism in the Sahel: Implications for socio-economic development.” The Report of the Workshop was submitted to the ECA for onward formal presentation to the Africa Union to facilitate the shaping of policies in African States to combat the menace of violent extremism in the Sahel region and also developing tools for prevention of this scourge.
